Docs and More

Many of you have uploaded your slideshow to SLIDESHARE and some of you have also put it up as a Google Doc.

The next step is to create a GoogleDoc spreadsheet for your purchases. Make column A be for the name of the item you want to buy "Camera," column B for the price "$269," and column C for the specific brand/model "Panasonic FZ28." We'll work on spreadsheet formulas when I'm back in class, but get your data entered now so we have numbers to work with.

After that, you can continue to work with Google Docs OR you can go and test out these other sites:

Posting your Slideshow

Use slideshare.net to upload your Uncle Albert shopping list. Before you upload it, be sure that there is an attractive first slide, a slide for each purchase (with a captured picture showing price and specs), and a final slide showing the breakdown of what you spent the $2000 on.

Embed your slideshare code so that a blogpost called "Shopping for College: Slideshare" is topmost on your blog.

After you have uploaded to slideshare, upload the same show to GoogleDocs. This is more complicated, but you'll need to be working on this part of the project no later than Wedesday. Thursday the lesson plan will change and you need to have working knowledge of GoogleDocs by that time.

Open GoAnimate and set the social studies story as "public" instead of "private," then go over to a neighbor's computer and make sure your GoAnimate works.

Open iMovie and watch any 3-4 of the video tutorials for iMovie.

Prepare to buy equipment for college (a gift from Uncle Albert).
